RHEMA WORD DEVOTIONAL
PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER
2 Kings 2:11 (NKJV) “Then it happened, as they CONTINUED on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire…”
Prayer is the breakfast of champions! Make up your mind never to allow anything into your mouth until you have prayed every morning. Your choices are more accurate in the place of prayer. Luke 6:12 (NKJV) “Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and CONTINUED all night in prayer to God”. Many believers get tired easily in the place of prayer. You need to learn to CONTINUE in the place of prayer. Many of us have mastered the act of starting prayer but we have not mastered the act of continuing in Prayer.
The word Continue is similar to the word “Meno” which means to stay in a particular state. We first need to have a relationship with God and then learn to ‘STAY’ in God’s presence. Colossians 4:2 (AMP) Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in
To get the best out of prayer you have to learn to CONTINUE in the place of prayer. Joshua 1:8 (NLT) “Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it…” You might sometimes not feel like praying but prayer goes beyond feeling; you must discipline yourself to continue in it. Once you stretch yourself beyond a certain level, keep at it, never return to your previous level. Keep increasing! Acts 6:4 (NKJV) “but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Whatever works for you, you must continue in it. Prayer works, continue in it!
